Week 2 – Believing when others are leaving

Australia is no longer a Christian country, it is secular, post-christian.

Australian society is more like bible times, many different religions and plenty of people with no religion.

Read John 6:60-69

Those deserting Jesus  was because of the conversation in John 6:22-59.

Belief is a choice. A Choice that only you can make!

Even if others are leaving do you believe in Jesus Christ?

Statement of faith based upon Philippians 2:5-11

Jesus Christ is Lord

We believe in Christ Jesus,

who, though he was in the form of God,

did not regard equality with God

as something to be exploited,

but emptied himself,

taking the form of a slave,

being born in human likeness.

And being found in human form,

he humbled himself

and became obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross.

 

Therefore God also highly exalted him

and gave him the name that is above every name,

so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

and every tongue should confess to the glory of God:

Jesus Christ is Lord! Amen.
